To experience a deeper dimension of God's presence, your soul must hunger and thirst for God in the same way a deer pants for the safety and sustenance of water. Only a small percentage of believers ever really experience this kind of intimacy with God because of the price.

Psalm 42:1-2 declares, "As the hart [male red deer] panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God. My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God?"

In the natural, the panting of the deer is an audible agonizing for the safety the waters provide when pursued by a predator. When the deer runs into the water, the predator can no longer detect its scent. In addition to finding safety from its enemies, the deer finds relief from thirst in the waters.

Glory of the Latter House

I began my walk with the wonderful Lord Jesus on December 7, 1974. And I have discovered during the years since then, not only does God anoint you as you are faithful to Him, but as less of you remains, He begins to fill you more and more with His power and glory.

None of us can obey the Lord in total surrender without the help of the Holy Spirit. And I believe God is calling every believer into a deeper, more committed walk with Him.

The reason the Lord asks us to yield more of ourselves is so He can do more with us as He pours out His Almighty power through us!

That time quickly approaches. I believe with all my being that we are on the verge of the most awesome move of God in history, a move so great that “eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him” (1 Corinthians 2:9).

Are You a Pliable Vessel?

Are you willing to prayer this prayer? "Lord, I lay it all at the foot of the cross. I surrender my spirit, soul, and body to You. I give You my weaknesses and sins, my hopes and dreams, my fears and failures. Please take this helpless, corrupt, frail body and make it a vessel fit for Your use."

If you pray that prayer, He will answer. He will pour out His Spirit upon your life. He will fill you with joy unspeakable and full of glory. And He will give you the hidden desires of your heart.

When the Master looks for people He can use to accomplish His purposes, He doesn't look at their physical qualifications, their educational background, or their credentials. He looks for someone pliable enough so that He can mold and shape him into a vessel suitable for His use.
