Overland Park Hosts Fire Conference and Miracle Service

“Mighty!” and “Memorable!” Fire Conference Sessions
Those who attended the conference in Overland Park experienced a powerful time of anointed worship and powerful teaching by Pastor Benny Hinn.

“The only power that can defeat the person of Satan is the Holy Spirit,” he said. “Back in the seventies I experienced the key to victory. His name is the Holy Ghost! If you don’t know the Person of the Holy Ghost, all your knowledge means nothing.”

Then he challenged the crowd, “Are you ready to be renewed?”

Teaching from Genesis 1:1-2, he asked, “How long has it been since you really heard the voice of God talking to you? When was the last time? The moment we ignore the Holy Spirit, we end up in chaos. When the Holy Spirit moves again, He moves the darkness out of our life. And when the darkness moves out and the light of God comes in, God begins to move again.”

He taught from 1 Corinthians 12:4-7, illustrating that God the Father operates, while God the Son administrates, and God the Holy Spirit manifests: “The Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit are one in majesty and glory, but the Holy Spirit is the first manifestation of the Godhead to man. The Holy Spirit is the door that gives you access. When you ignore the door, you are shut out. Therefore, we must understand the importance of the office of the Holy Spirit in our lives. When we embrace Him, we embrace the Godhead.”

Using Scripture after Scripture, Pastor Benny revealed, “The more you know the Holy Spirit, the more you know Jesus. The more you know the Holy Spirit, the more you know the Father. You cannot know the Father until Jesus brings you to the Father. And when you embrace the Holy Spirit, you embrace God.

As the Fire Conference continued on Saturday, Pastor Benny told about a decision he made in Lausanne, Switzerland: “I was at the YWAM Hotel, and I remember telling the Lord that I would seek the Him until I found Him. When I got home I began to seek the Lord every day for 3 months—day after day.”

What happened, of course, is detailed in his international best-selling book, Good Morning, Holy Spirit. Using that background as a springboard, Pastor Benny shared a more recent encounter: “In July of this year, the Lord spoke to me again, just as He did in Lausanne so many years ago, and said that it is time for me to seek the Lord until I found Him. He said, 'If you will seek Me, then you will find Me and in that you fill find liberty!' So this July I said to the Lord, 'I pray this invitation is still open.' I have always sought the Lord in the morning for at least an hour. Now the Lord wants more. If you want more, if you want to go deeper with God, there is a price!”

Pastor Benny moved specifically into a teaching on prayer and the power that moves mountains.

He cited Matthew 7:7, “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you,” adding, “Knocking is when the cry gets louder and louder in your spirit. Many people run to God only when there is a problem. But Jesus talked about power in prayer. We cannot let prayer become the last resort. Prayer must become such a part of your life that it becomes a succession of moments as you seek Him with all your heart.”

With Matthew 6:5-6 as a backdrop, Pastor Benny taught practical points for prayer, including these:

• You must be alone as you enter into the presence of God.
• You must begin with worship.
• Know what the Bible says.
• Relationship with God is the key.
• Never pray without confessing sins and applying the blood of Jesus.

“Successful prayer means daily contact with God,” he taught. “When your prayer is not constant, your spiritual life will begin to fall apart. Daily prayer is the secret to victory. God only works with what you give Him.”

Miracle Service Highlights
At the outset of the well-attended Sunday afternoon Miracle Service, Pastor Benny gave a clear-cut salvation message and an invitation to all who wanted to receive Jesus Christ as Savior. The response was tremendous. People of all ages responded, surrendering their lives to Jesus Christ.

After a powerful teaching about healing,. A healing anointing swept over the crowd, with people crowding forward to testify what God had done.

There were many, many people who were healed, but few testimonies were shared. Using the phrase repeated by those who attended, “God simply took over!”

“The presence of God was so overwhelming,” said a partner. “It was so powerful. There were so many people who came forward to share what God had done, but they were unable to speak. It was the most amazing thing. People were on their faces before the Lord. Pastor Benny simply stood back and was caught up in God’s presence, as well. He said, 'If you want this anointing, I don’t need to lay hands on you. God needs to lay hands on you!' It spread throughout the convention center. People didn’t want to leave. The anointing was so heavy on all of us. It was truly an encounter with God that we will never forget!”

A Challenge for the Future
 Pastor Benny reported. “On July 5 of this year I made a sacred decision that has already affected my life deeply. On that day I told my precious Redeemer that I would begin to seek Him more than I have ever sought Him. I have always been a man of prayer. Still, I have known for some time that the Lord was calling me to a much deeper walk with Him. I knew He wanted a greater commitment to seek Him with all my being. That’s what happened at Overland Park, as well. People were so hungry for God, and He visited them in such a wonderful, life-changing way. I am convinced that there is a new wave of outpouring coming. This was a wonderful foretaste as people from all walks of life came into a new closeness with our Lord Jesus. And it is just beginning!”
