Cleveland Hosts Annual Good Friday Candlelight Communion Miracle Service

Good Friday celebrations have become a memorable tradition for Benny Hinn Ministries. This year’s Candlelight Communion Miracle Service at the Wolstein Center in Cleveland, Ohio, reached a new pinnacle with amazing miracle testimonies and forever-changed lives!

Located on the Cleveland State University campus in the heart of downtown Cleveland, the Wolstein Center literally became a tabernacle of praise, worship, and anointing on Good Friday, April 10, 2009, as Pastor Benny Hinn and the huge crowd came together to celebrate the resurrection of our risen Lord and Savior!

A Heartfelt Celebration
Multitudes came from all over the nation and several foreign countries for the annual event which featured resurrection-themed music by the choir and soloist Paul Pitts.

After a time of praise and worship, Pastor Benny was warmly received by the crowd that had assembled, and it was apparent that they sensed they were part of a truly historic event. An atmosphere of reverence and wonder filled the auditorium.

Pastor Benny’s dynamic salvation message brought a spontaneous response from all over the auditorium. Many responded to the salvation call, which was presented early in the service so they could prepare their hearts for a very special communion service.

Pastor Benny led tearful responders to the salvation invitation in the sinner’s prayer, as they whispered prayerful words of repentance.

The candlelight communion began with Scripture reading and soft worship music throughout. Then Pastor Benny announced, “There are miracles happening!” as he began to call out words of knowledge regarding some of the miracles taking place in the auditorium.

Many people responded to his invitation to come forward and testify of God’s healing touch:

• Many cancerous tumors disappeared, including abdominal tumors, breast cancer, and more.

• A special anointing touched numerous people in wheelchairs. Before the evening was over, many wheelchairs were emptied, leaving rows of metallic testimonies to God’s healing power!

• One such testimony involved a lady who was born with a club foot, a condition that makes afflicted people often appear to walk on their ankles, or on the sides of their feet. She had endured multiple operations and wore braces that went up to her knees. None of the operations had helped, and the braces had ruined her knees. Her feet, legs, and hips were in constant pain. She arrived at the Wolstein Center in a wheelchair, but during the service she stepped from the wheelchair and began walking normally, with all the pain gone. The crowd praised God for what He had done!

• A man arrived at the service in a wheelchair, unable to bend his knees for five years because of injuries. He also had a debilitating hearing problem. When he received prayer for his stiff legs, his knees began to visibly loosen. He was quickly able to walk, then to run. In addition, his hearing was restored!

• An elevator had fallen on a woman years ago. The gruesome accident not only damaged her head but also her internal organs. She could get around only in a wheelchair, and for some time she was able to communicate only with halting speech. Her pain was excruciating. When the healing anointing fell upon her, the first thing people around her noticed was how quickly her speech cleared and she was able to speak faster and faster. Then she got up from the wheelchair and began running around, then up to the stage!

• A lady testified of having a brain stem stroke. This rare form of stroke originates in the brain stem, and because the brain stem handles many of the body’s basic life-support functions, such as breathing and heart rate, many brain stem strokes are fatal. This woman had been left with no feeling on her left side, and she required oxygen 24 hours a day. The doctors had prepared the family for her death. She arrived at the service in a wheelchair with an oxygen tank. During the service, however, she noticed that the left side of her body suddenly had feeling. When she realized she’d been amazingly healed, she got up from the wheelchair and started running.

• A 16-year-old girl had been in an automobile accident that left her with seemingly permanent injuries to her back and lungs. She had trouble breathing and was in a wheelchair from surgery on both hips in which pins had been placed. She had gone through nine months of painful physical therapy. Nothing worked. She still suffered great pain. As the healing anointing swept through the center, she was healed instantly! She stepped out of her wheelchair and the pain left immediately. She started running, and onstage she did a somersault to everyone’s delight!

• One of the most dramatic moments came when the audience heard about a lady who had been suffering with leukemia. She had been told two weeks before that she had only two weeks to live, and the Good Friday Service was held on the fourteenth day after that pronouncement. By then over 90 percent of her blood was overtaken with the cancer, and the disease had spread throughout her body, including her lungs. The doctors, in fact, strongly discouraged the woman from going, warning her of the danger. She went anyway with her husband and children, arriving in a wheelchair. One of the Benny Hinn Ministries workers heard some of the story, prayed with her, then said, “You did everything you could to get here, now let God take over!” During the service, she suddenly felt overwhelmed by the anointing and got out of her wheelchair. She started running, and by the time she got to the platform, she kept running up and down the stairs. After Pastor Benny listened to her testimony, the audience exploded in thanksgiving for the healing they had witnessed!

Many more miracles occurred, but time did not allow for all those who had been healed to come to the platform to testify what God had done for them.         

He Is Risen!
The praise and worship to the risen King of kings was powerful and the teaching and communion were memorable. Those who attended the Benny Hinn Ministries Good Friday service in Cleveland will not forget what happened that evening, especially those who celebrated Resurrection Day this year with healed bodies and redeemed lives!
