God’s Power and Presence Touches Miami Fire Conference and Miracle Service

In the beautiful city of Miami, Florida, El Rey Jesús International Ministries has become well known as one of the nation’s fastest growing Hispanic churches. This wonderful fellowship, with Pastors Guillermo and Ana Maldonado, hosted Pastor Benny Hinn’s anointed Fire Conference and Miracle Service on February 12–14, 2009.

Anointed Fire Conference
Each of the Fire sessions started with majestic music by a talented choir. From the beginning, God’s life-changing and miracle-working power touched the hearts of people throughout the massive auditorium.

Because of the heavy Spanish influence in the Miami area, Pastor Benny preached his messages with the gifted assistance of Omar Cabrera, Jr., Pastor Benny’s interpreter for all Central and South American events.

Resurrection and Revelation
During the Thursday evening session, Pastor Benny taught first on the subject of the Trinity, pointing to the fact that Jesus Christ is the only member of the Trinity who has a body.

“The moment Jesus Christ became flesh,” Pastor Benny taught, “He identified with humanity and guaranteed our salvation and physical resurrection. He died on a cross then rose from the dead, and the resurrection of Jesus Christ guarantees your resurrection in the flesh! He is, was, and ever shall be a person. Being a person means having has intellect, will, and emotions. The Holy Spirit also has intellect, will, and emotions, just as you have intellect, will, and emotions. The Holy Spirit is not just a power or influence. You don’t surrender to an influence—you surrender to a person. Fanaticism is the result of people not treating the Holy Spirit as a person, but they see Him as an influence or power.”

Pastor Benny shared from his personal experiences as a young Christian with the Holy Spirit, saying, “I did not feel power. I sensed the Person at that moment. And when you begin to trust Him as a Person, it will change your whole life. The Holy Spirit should be as real a Person today as Jesus was during His earthly ministry to His disciples. He is ever-present, a loving Friend, a mighty Helper. He is always ready to help you in any emergency.”

Pastor Benny cited this passage: “What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's” (1 Corinthians 6:19-20).

“The Holy Spirit is the connection between God and you,” he taught. “The Holy Spirit is the voice of God to you. He is that Person who brings Jesus Christ and the Father to you. And only by His power can you live the Christian life. The Holy Spirit is the revealer of God. Only the Holy Ghost can give you the knowledge of God.”

Presence and Power
In the Friday morning session, Pastor Benny quoted the Scriptures: “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth” (Acts 1:8).

“The presence of God and the power of God are totally different,” he taught. “We as Christians need to experience both. The power comes so we can serve the Lord here on earth. When we talk about the presence of God we are talking about God’s glory and His ways. The more real the presence of Jesus Christ becomes, the quieter you become, but the power of God makes you shout! The presence stills you, but the power stirs you. The presence of God is always in you in fullness, but the power is not eternal. It comes on you for a reason and a season.”

Knowing God
In the Friday evening session, Pastor Benny continued teaching on the Trinity, focusing on the Person of the Holy Spirit.

He quoted this passage from 1 Corinthians: "But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God" (1 Corinthians 2:10-12).

“The Holy Spirit reveals God to man,” he said. “The Holy Spirit reveals God to the redeemed. Salvation was God’s idea, bought by the blood of Jesus and revealed to us through the Holy Spirit.”

The Greatest Miracle 
During the Saturday afternoon Miracle Service, over 7,000 filled the auditorium, with over a thousand still outside. Pastor Benny brought a moving salvation message, carefully explaining the plan of salvation with verse after verse from Scripture, then inviting all who wanted to receive the greatest miracle of all to lift their hands, then come forward. Aisles were packed with between 600 and 700 precious souls of all ages who streamed toward the front. Every available space in the auditorium was jammed with people praying to accept Jesus Christ as Savior.

At the close of the salvation prayer, Pastor Benny introduced Pastor Maldonado and invited the new converts to attend the host church the next day for Sunday services. The response was overwhelming and only eternity will reveal how many people gave their hearts to the Lord in that service!

Mighty Miracle Service
Pastor Benny taught how Jesus came to heal all, reminding people of one miracle after another from the Gospels and declaring the promises of God that are still in effect today.

As the anointing swept throughout the auditorium, miracles began taking place among people of all ages, including healing from arthritis, cancerous tumors, debilitating conditions, deafness, the inability to walk, and more. Highlights included these amazing miracles:

• Many people were healed of various forms of arthritis. 

• Cancerous tumors disappeared.

• A young woman who had suffered with scoliosis came forward to testify of God’s healing touch. By the time she shared her testimony, her spine was straight and she no longer had any pain!

• A woman who entered the service in a wheelchair could not walk without falling, suffering from a large open sore on her leg, completely wrapped, that caused severe pain. She had been unable to work because she couldn’t walk without falling. Worse, she had been beaten repeatedly by her husband who then finally left her. With all that in the background, what God did was truly remarkable. During the service the woman felt God’s healing touch, and she came to the platform to testify about what was happening. On the platform she unwrapped her leg and began walking back and forth across the stage without any assistance at all! Then she dropped to her knees and lifted her hands in praise to the Lord. As she got back up on her feet, she told Pastor Benny that previously she had not been able to bend her leg or kneel. The building was filled with praise as the woman broke into joyous laughter at what God had done in her life!

• A woman came to the service using a walker after undergoing seven hip surgeries. The surgeries had left her increasingly weak and finally unable to walk without the walker. She suffered constantly with severe pain. After God’s power touched her during the miracle service, she completely discarded the walker and moved about with no pain.

• A woman who had a stroke a year ago came to the platform to testify of God’s miracle touch on her. With the help of the translator, she told Pastor Benny about her condition and how she previously had no feeling on one side of her body. Pastor Benny asked, “Did you feel anything?” The woman responded by saying, “I felt Jesus pinching me.” Pastor Benny said, “Now I have never heard that before.” When she said she felt Jesus pinching her, she was acknowledging that she had feeling and sensation where she had previously suffered with paralysis. She wept tears of joy as she continued to touch her side where the feeling had been restored!

• A woman who had suffered with severe arthritis for 13 years was wracked with pain throughout her body. Then God intervened! By the time she walked to the platform to testify what had happened, she was understandably very emotional as she told Pastor Benny about the miracle. She marveled that all the pain was gone after so many years of torment.

• During the miracle service, Pastor Benny called out a word of knowledge about a lady seated to his right who was wearing a yellow sweater and suffered from a heart condition. He urged the person to come forward to testify of God’s healing power, stating that the Holy Spirit is never wrong. “I know there’s a lady sitting over there who is wearing a yellow sweater and glasses who has been healed of a heart condition.” About 10 minutes later a woman wearing a yellow sweater and glasses came to the platform to testify what had just happened. The woman shared that she had just been to the doctor and had been diagnosed with a weak heart condition. She had also suffered with arthritis for some time, and during the service, as God had shown Pastor Benny, God had touched her, healing her of both conditions. She rejoiced at what God had done, thanking the Lord for His faithfulness and the healing touch of the Holy Spirit!

Many more miracles occurred in the service, but time did not allow for all who had received a healing to testify.

Looking to the Future
At the close of the service, Pastor Benny prayed for the young people. Hundreds upon hundreds of young people jammed the front of the auditorium and overflowed into the aisles. With hands uplifted, their faces revealed the spiritual hunger in their hearts. As Pastor Benny prayed for them corporately, many of them collapsed under the power of the Holy Spirit.

The hunger in those young people was particularly exciting, and the entire crowd roared with approval as Pastor Benny had the youth cry out to the Lord for a double-portion anointing and the fire of God!
