Oakland Hosts Mighty Fire Conference and Miracle Service

The Oakland Marriott City Center was host to an incredible Benny Hinn Ministries Fire Conference and Miracle Service on January 22–24, 2009.

Spirit-Filled Conference

The first session was marked by a reflection of recent events in Israel. Pastor Benny cited his trip to several areas of the Holy Land, including Gaza, Tel Aviv, and Jerusalem, to interview a number of leading politicians and terrorism experts about the ramifications of the violence.

“Today as the conflicts of 2009 heat up,” Pastor Benny reported, “it is apparent that we are living in times as momentous as the rebirth of the nation of Israel 1948 and the Six-Day War of 1967. These recent developments in Israel are signaling a hot, accelerated, and unprecedented prophetic season that will quickly change the course of history. This is a dangerous hour—certainly the beginning of the fulfillment of Ezekiel’s prophecy.”

He went on to share how this hour could very well be our last chance to share the Gospel with the world!

Deliverance, Liberty, and Armor

Throughout the remainder of the Fire Conference, Pastor Benny moved into a powerful teaching on major themes relating to spiritual victory in today’s world.

“When the Holy Spirit is in your life in fullness,” he declared, “then you will be free completely. Where the Holy Spirit is, not where He is absent, there is liberty! God has called you into liberty, and you have to stay away from sin. That’s what the scripture means when it says, ‘Give no place to the devil.’ There is total liberty where the Holy Spirit is.”

He spoke about the need for deliverance: “None of us can bring deliverance from bondage in our own strength. If you want to be delivered, you must be in covenant with God, and your deliverance must be through the blood of Jesus Christ. Make sure you surrender to Christ Jesus, asking Him to wash you with His blood. Once you are in covenant with Him, call upon the Lord and ask Him to deliver you from any sin and bondage.”

Expanding on that foundation, Pastor Benny cited Scripture that states the five dimensions of the satanic world and explains the spiritual armor needed to be victorious:

Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints. (Ephesians 6:11-18)

Pastor Benny spoke of the need for intercession, and he identified the seven revelations of prayer:

1.    Confession

2.    Supplication

3.    Adoration

4.    Intercession

5.    Communion

6.    Thanksgiving

7.    Praise

Citing Jeremiah 31:16-17; Ezekiel 9:4-6; and Ezekiel 22:30-31, he showed that the angelic hosts stop the demons through persistent intercession.

On Friday evening, the final session of the Fire Conference, Pastor Benny concluded by laying hands and praying over the enthusiastic multitudes who attended.

Dynamic Altar Calls Highlight the Miracle Service

An overflow crowd packed the City Center for the Saturday evening miracle service. Pastor Benny Hinn presented a clear-cut salvation message, inviting all who wanted to receive Jesus Christ as Savior to come forward. People from all over the Center filled every aisle and jammed the front area. People of all ages from various walks of life responded to the call and received the greatest miracle of all—salvation!

Later in the service, miracles began to happen all over the auditorium with power and intensity. Miracle highlights included testimonies of healing from arthritis, inability to walk, pain, back problems, cancer, and much more. Long lines of people testified of God’s healing touch on their lives!

Even people outside the auditorium, those who were unable to get inside for the service, reported how God’s healing power flowed!

Mighty Move of God

Oakland, a major West Coast port and home to numerous large corporations, is the eighth-largest city in California and a major hub of transportation, commerce, and tourism. The San Francisco Bay Area, Lake Merritt, Berkeley Marina, and the Golden Gate Bridge created a stunning backdrop for the centrally located Oakland Marriott City Center, where the conference and miracle service took place.

“What a powerful time we had in Oakland,” Pastor Benny reported at the conclusion of the historic Fire Conference and Miracle Service at the Marriott City Center. “God did something truly incredible. We continue to see a hunger among the people of God for teaching and equipping for ministry. And what a blessing it was to see the incredible harvest as so many people came to receive Jesus Christ as Savior! I pray that God’s life-changing and miracle-working power will continue to touch the people of this region for Jesus Christ in the coming days!”
