Conference Brings Powerful Anointing in Chattanooga!

On April 11–12, 2008, viewers around the globe watched the live-streaming Webcast of the Benny Hinn Ministries Impartation & Anointing Conference, direct from Abba House in Chattanooga, Tennessee. What they saw was a powerful three-part teaching on the Holy Spirit’s anointing, gifts of the Holy Spirit, and the four realms of prophecy.

Praise and worship music filled the auditorium, and Pastor Benny’s messages obviously touched hearts of people gathered from throughout the United States and foreign countries.

First Session Features Double Portion
During the first session, Pastor Benny taught on the anointing of the Holy Spirit. He used Elijah and Elisha as examples, pointing out that Elisha asked for a double portion of what was on Elijah’s life. Pastor Benny then elaborated on the double portion, the birthright of the firstborn.

Keys to the double portion include these:

1. You must be called.
2. You must be a warrior.
3. You must be a worker.
4. You must come under the mantle of another ministry or man of God.
5. You will be tested.

“Jesus is not interested in those who are reluctant to follow,” Pastor Benny taught. “We are coming into a new season of the anointing. There is no reluctance allowed. Elisha left the oxen and ran after Elijah. Elisha destroyed his business, forgot his past, renounced his past, and arose and went after Elijah. Run after the anointing. Give up associations that are draining you and keeping you from the double portion.”

Pastor Benny finished this powerful teaching by pointing to the story of Elijah and Elisha, as well as the three locations that will test how faithful you are going to be:

1. Gilgal — the first place God will bring you to once you qualify. The place where the supernatural ceased. God strips you of your sight and the assurance of the old life so that you will live by faith.
2. Bethel — the place Jacob laid his head on a stone one day, the place where Saul failed, and the place where you decide.
3. Jericho — the place of spiritual warfare. Mocking from the enemy is proof that you are anointed.

Saturday Morning Session Points to Four Realms of Prophecy
“Dreams reveal God’s plans,” Pastor Benny taught during the second session at the Abba’s House. “Visions reveal God’s nature.”

Sharing scripture after scripture that revealed the various times people prophesied and the circumstances surrounding the events, he shared the gifts of the Spirit, dividing them into three categories:

· Revelation gifts
· Vocal gifts
· Power gifts

“Prophecy in Hebrew means to flow, to bubble up,” he explained, citing 186 references made to prophecy in the New Testament. He then detailed the four realms of prophecy:

1. All prophecy is from God (2 Peter 1:20, 21).
2. The anointing of the Holy Spirit enables men and women to prophesy, even if they do not have the office of a prophet (Revelation 1:10; 1 Samuel 19:18-24).
3. The gift of prophecy is given to believers to exhort, edify, and comfort (1 Corinthians 14:3).
4. The office of a prophet involves vessels chosen by God to function in the discerning of spirits and operating in all nine spiritual gifts (Ephesians 2:19-20).

“When it comes to prophecy,” Pastor Benny taught, “you must realize that it is vital, you must release your faith, and you must learn to operate in the anointing through releasing your faith through praise and worship. The Holy Spirit begins to bubble up within when you worship intensely. Also, you must learn to discern the thoughts of the Holy Spirit, to discern the wind of the Spirit. Finally, you have to stir up the gift!”

Saturday Evening Session Focuses on Seven Covenants and Impartation
The final session of the conference moved into a teaching of the covenants. Following the teaching, Pastor Benny laid hands on the people who attended and prayed for an impartation of the anointing of the Holy Spirit to rest upon each life.
