Miracles Fill Crusade and Good Friday Service in London

The much-anticipated Benny Hinn Ministries Holy Spirit Miracle Crusade was held Thursday, March 20, 2008, at the famed ExCeL London. In that service many people were healed. Empty wheelchairs lined the platform as one after another came forward to testify of God’s healing touch. Pastor Benny presented a clear-cut salvation message and invited all those wanting to surrender their hearts and lives to Jesus Christ to come forward. Before Pastor Benny could finish his statement, people from all over the auditorium began to move quickly toward the front, filling every aisle and jamming the area near the platform. People of all ages from various walks of life responded to the salvation call and gave their hearts to Jesus Christ.

Historic Friday Firsts 
The next night the annual Good Friday Candlelight Communion Miracle Service provided a wonderful close for the crusade. The ExCeL arena was jammed to capacity with over 5,000 people outside unable to get in.

This Friday service provided two historic firsts:

• It was the first Good Friday service in the ministry’s history held outside the United States.
  
• It was the first Good Friday service Webcast live around the world!

This memorable evening began as the 500-voice choir joined Steve Brock and Alvin Slaughter in offering worship songs focusing on the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on Calvary’s cross, preparing hearts for the special communion service.

As the candelabras were lit and the lights dimmed, Pastor Benny began reading Bible passages pertaining to Christ’s death and resurrection. Scripture after scripture illustrated the sacrifice of our wonderful Lord Jesus Christ as He went to Calvary to die for the sins of mankind. As he began to prepare for communion, Pastor Benny led unbelievers in a salvation prayer before proceeding with the communion service. Worship music filled the air as thousands participated in the candlelight communion service.

Miracle Highlights 
As the communion service concluded, miracles began to happen all over the auditorium with incredible power and intensity. Testimonies included these powerful miracles:

• The first miracle testimony to come to the platform was a woman who had been healed of a brain tumor. Her friend had brought her to the service. The woman said that all the pain and numbness was gone, and she knew she was healed!
  
  
• A father brought his little girl, less than two years old and born deaf, to the platform. The father held his daughter’s two tiny hearing aids in his hand. One of the crusade doctors demonstrated the little girl’s ability to hear by distracting her with bright-colored objects while Steve Brock clapped his hands 4 to 5 times behind her. She dismissed the items and spontaneously turned her head to see where the noise was coming from. Her father’s face was beaming as he saw his little girl’s response because she had never heard anything at all without the help of her hearing aids!
  
  
• Many people were healed of various types of cancerous tumors. One gentleman had suffered excruciating pain from kidney cancer for years. That night, all his abdominal pain was gone. Ecstatic that God had healed him, the man struck himself forcefully in that area, demonstrating that all his pain was gone.
  
  
• A number of people were healed from arthritis. One woman stepped forward as Steve Brock explained what had happened to her. Praising the Lord, the woman repeatedly stood erect then crouched down to an almost sitting position. Pastor Benny asked her what she was doing, and she explained that because of her severe arthritis, she had not been able to do that in many years.
  
  
• The sister of one of the host pastors was healed of multiple sclerosis. Weeping tears of joy, she explained that she no longer had pain and numbness in her body. She said that all her symptoms were gone, and she felt strength in her body for the first time in a long time.
  
  
• A little girl about 6 years old was born with one leg shorter than the other, making it necessary for her to wear a brace on the shorter leg. Following the communion service, the little girl leaned over to her mother and said, “Mommy, God healed my leg!” When her mother checked her daughter’s leg, she discovered that the leg was in fact the same length as the other leg. She removed the brace and the little girl could walk normally for the first time in her life!
  
  
• A famous composer of Arabic music came to the platform to testify of God’s healing touch on his once-crippled hand. His hand had become impaired when he had surgery on his arm, and as a result, he couldn’t open or close his hand fully. He was unable to shake hands or play the piano. During the miracle service, the power and anointing of the Holy Spirit touched the man’s hand, restoring its normal function. He demonstrated not only how he could grasp a hand again, but also how he could play the piano once more. Pastor Benny asked him to play some Arabic music. Pastor Benny stood beside the piano, watching as the man played. When the gentleman stopped playing, Pastor Benny asked the name of the song he had been playing. The man responded, “I just made it up.” Amazed, Pastor Benny asked, “You mean you were composing something right here?” The man smiled a big smile, played a few more notes, and then rose to his feet, praising God for what had happened.
  
  
• A teenage girl, suffering with a spinal disease that wouldn’t allow her to bend, was healed. She bent backward at a severe angle with no pain, demonstrating how God had touched her that night.
  
  
• A man who had suffered hip pain for years suddenly could skip, bounce, and jump with no pain.
  
  
• A man who had suffered with severe pain in his back from a debilitating condition came forward to testify of God’s healing touch. He said he hadn’t been able to bend over and hadn’t touched his toes for years. Beaming with joy, he stood upright and praised the Lord for his miracle.
  
  
• A man who had twice broken his back came to the platform to testify about his miracle. In two separate accidents, he had done incredible damage to his back, breaking it and prompting the need for extreme pain medications, including 30 morphine tablets a day. In his first accident, he broke his back falling out of a helicopter. When that damage had healed somewhat, he broke it again riding a motorcycle head on into a lamppost. During Friday’s service, the gentleman felt God’s healing touch and all the pain was gone from his back for the first time since the accidents.
  

So many miracles occurred in each service that time did not allow for each person to come to the platform to testify what God had done for them.

The ExCeL, London’s largest conference and exhibition center—scheduled to be host venue for the 2012 Olympic Games—is located on the stunning waterfront near Canary Wharf and the City Airport. Sitting in the legacy-filled shadow of the Houses of Parliament, Tower Bridge, Buckingham Palace, and the Big Ben, the ExCeL proved to be ideal as a great gathering place for the mighty outpouring of crusade-goers who packed the famed auditorium.
